FUNNIX BEGINNING READING
is a beginning reading program. It is designed for children or adults who do not know how to read.
It is not designed for "poor readers," unless they know very little about reading. The teacher and child can view the lessons together.
Funnix Beginning Reading is appropriate for a few three-year-olds, some four-year-olds, just about all five-year-olds, and any 6- or 7-year-olds who have not learned to read in school.
The program assumes that the child starts with some knowledge of letter names (not merely the ability to recite the alphabet, but to identify some letters). If you are not sure if your child is prepared to start Funnix, download the Alphabet Game and test your child. If your child needs work on letter names, use the Alphabet Game to teach the letter names that appear early in Funnix.

FUNNIX 2
is appropriate for first and second graders who have completed Funnix Beginning Reading or another first grade reading program. It is also appropriate for third and some fourth graders who are behind in reading.
